A couple of months ago, while I was with my two partners in stash-buying crime, I bought this box to alter. As a matter of fact, I didn't actually know what I was buying, but since Deb and Rach were both having one, I didn't want to be left out. I wasn't quite sure what to do with it, but when I bought the MME Lost and Found papers I knew exactly how my project would turn out. All I needed to add now, was a little bit of time. And today, it came. I had two and a half hours with Bella at preschool and was determined that no housework would be done. And this is the end result.
The pink ribbon is left over from Maddie's christening gown, as are the white beads on the heart. Lisa made her gown and saved these bits for me. I also wanted to add in a lock of Maddie's hair and a little pot with her baby teeth in, but somehow her hair didn't look right and I haven't found a pot for her teeth so I think that will have to be another project.
I am so pleased with this, it has turned out exactly as I hoped.
TFL :)

oooo! that is so gorgeous! I'm not sure what I am most in love with - the box, the meaning, the papers or the overall. it's simply wonderful. I'm also sick jealous that you got MME Lost and Found - on my wish list! This is just so lovely. So glad you found a way to use the ribbon and the beads - they've been waiting a long time!
